In 2003 I began a journey into the world of 3D modeling. It is a long and difficult road to travel, but like golf, good things take time to master. Here are some of the pictures that I've done. It's best if you have an 800x600 display or larger, since that's the size I made most of the pictures at.

11/15/2003. My first 3D model. I needed to learn a few things so I started with the Destiny lab from the International Space Station. |

2/16/2004. Heavy accelerator cannon from D&D Spelljammer. |

2/16/2004. Elven ballista from D&D Spelljammer. I decided that the elves would build their siege engines for both aesthetics as well as for war. |

2/21/2004. Elven medium catapult on a swivel mount. This is another siege engine designed for looks as well as war. |

4/4/2004. Elven Man-O-War from D&D Spelljammer. This took hours and hours to do, both because I had to learn how to do things, and because there is so much detail. I never finished this model because I couldn't figure out how to make the wings. |

9/16/2004. This is the QF/A-36A Thunderhawk, a fictional airplane I created for a 3D modeling contest. It's my first significant use of trueSpace (well, gameSpace Light since that's what the rules allowed) along with Photoshop CS. You can see other pictures as well as the aircraft description here. |

8/26/2007. The Arilyn Flynn is a Flynn-class Man-O-War. It is the second version of the Man-O-War I created above. I FINALLY figured out how to make the wings, and decided to rebuild the hull based upon the deck plans from the original Dungeons and Dragons Spelljammer ship card. Version 2.0 came out way better. You can see more views of the ship here. |
